Maid of Honor
Mallory and I met in sixth grade and have been best friends since. She truly is more of a sister than a friend. She's been with me through all the big moments in my life, and I'm lucky to have her by my side now. Mal always laughs at my dumb jokes and is credited with knowing I liked Alex before I even recognized it myself - she knows me better than almost anyone!
Bridesmaid
Elise is the sister of the groom. She has welcomed me into their family from the beginning. Just a short time into Alex and I dating, Elise offered to let me stay with her for three months while I worked in Nashville. She is such a warm and kind-hearted person - just don't come between her and a Muddys cupcake!
Bridesmaid
Candace and I met in grad school, and we've continued to be good friends as she's moved across the country three times. She is one of the most unique people I know, and there is never a dull moment with her. She is as obsessed with Harry Potter as Alex and me.
Bridesmaid
Allison has been by my side through the Church Health Center internship, med school, and residency. We've taken several trips to New Orleans together. She's always willing to lend an ear over drinks - and she isn't afraid to offer her honest opinion! Allison may know more about Memphis basketball than Alex.
Bridesmaid
Zoe and I met working together in the ER. She keeps me laughing constantly, and due to our crazy work schedules, she is ready to hang out any time day or night (I'm as likely to fall asleep on her couch at 10 pm as 10 am). We share a love for Halloween, Prosecco, and dogs.
Bridesmaid
Abbey and I met when she began dating a good friend of ours. She is one of the most supportive people I know - she is my hype girl! I love her quirky sense of humor, and no story of ours in the past few years doesn't involve her. Abbey is guilty of forcing Alex and me to watch every single Twilight movie.
Honorary Bridesmen
Best Man
My dad is my inspiration and my hero. He showed me the value of hard work and how to be a professional. I know I can count on him for help at any hour (because he is probably awake), and I frequently look to him for guidance. I would not be where I am without him, and I will be forever grateful for his friendship, love, and guidance.
Groomsman
My Late Night X-Effect Co-Aficionado. My Fellow RTR. My Broken Side View Mirror In a Ditch Partner in Crime. Digital Design Class at MUS circa 2006 was one of my favorite classes of all time; not only because it was easy and we made stupid pictures all day but because this guy became one of my best friends from that class forward. From being roommates in college to many visits in New York a decade later, this goofy, fun, kind friend of mine has always been a rock in my life. I could not ask for a better friend.
Groomsman
My Hammer and Ale Colleague. My unpaid dog sitter. My anytime I need a porch beer bestie. One of my favorite memories is Jackson Hineman and him awkwardly asking me if I minded Amanda being their third roommate because they were "gonna meet so many female doctors"....this did not happen (thanks, Amanda). He is always down for a good time. From "It's my Tuesday, too" to 4 AM shirtless basketball games to trips to Hawaii - he always lets me live my best life, and we'll continue the fun forever.
Groomsman
My Nippin' Brother. My MCAT studying companion. My watch any incredible movie partner (or terrible in most other people's minds). My fellow angsty early 2000s music listener. From our days at MUS to frequent visits to UT to visiting Saint Maarten, we have too many incredible stories together. He will always be a constant in my life. Hopefully he and Lindsey will be back in Memphis soon. He will always be one of my best friends and I cannot wait for many more adventures....with bad music and movies.
Groomsman
My Grizzlies agent. My chef at midnight. My "I sat gingerly" chair-breaking roommate. My absurdly badly cheating Catan player. Jackson Hineman is an absolute gem of a person. His kindness, generosity, and fun-filled personality truly brighten up every room he walks in. I am so glad that he and Ryan Jones decided to have Amanda as their roommate. We're sad he left Memphis, but we hope that we instilled some Memphis qualities in him.
Groomsman
The Johnson Pool House King. My Being An Alabama Fan at Cool Beans Advocate. He is one of my oldest friends. I basically lived at his house from 10th grade until graduating college. No matter how long it has been since we've seen each other, we pick up the friendship and conversation like we just saw each other yesterday. I will always cherish his friendship and cannot wait to see where our next adventure takes us....back to Italy????
Groomsman
My "oldest" friend. My "saw you on the first day of medical school and said 'we both look old, wanna be friends'?" bestie. My BBQ pitmaster. My bring me some more pork candy butler. From anatomy lab to Havana Mix, medical school was easier having him in it. I am not sure how I would have survived without his knowledge, help, but, most importantly, his sanity during our long days in the library. Med school was clearly better with him in it.
Groomsman
My oldest friend (since 3 years old). My doubles partner. My late-night vocabulary aficionado. He will always be one of my closest friends. From the struggle of 3 hours + per day on the tennis court to constantly traveling for tennis, we've spent A LOT of time together. He will be one of my best friends forever, and I cannot wait to see what our next adventure entails.
