Our love story began when Steven made his way into Amanda's life on May 9th, 2014. Cliche and all, it was LOVE AT "FIRST" SIGHT. After a brief interaction, Steven and Amanda realized they had A LOT in common (both were the oldest of 3 siblings with a middle brother and baby sister, both their sisters were named Alysa/Elyssa, and they even shared the last 4 digits of their phone number "7726.") After they met, Amanda immediately called her closest friends and exclaimed, “I met the guy I am going to marry today." The two of them were inseparable after that day. Steven made trips up and down the north way (4 hours one way) to spend weekends with Amanda. Steven & Amanda moved to Saranac Lake together just a few months later.

It was August 11th, 2018 - the morning of Amanda's 30th Birthday Party that Steven and her family were throwing her. Steven and Amanda had just woke up for the day. Steven mentioned that he was going down to the end of the dock and fish for a bit. Shortly after, Amanda grabbed a cup of coffee and headed out to the dock, joining him. Amanda sat on the back of the boat and got some sun while chatting with Steven and sipping coffee. She looked at the time and realized she needed to get moving if she was going to run errands, get a workout in, and go over to Yara's before the party started. She jumped off the boat and started walking down the dock. Just a few seconds later she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and Steven was on one knee....AND if we are being completely honest, she does not remember much after that. Everything kind of went black. Steven expressed that Amanda basically jumped on him before he even asked and almost passed out/fell off the dock. He even stated that he was not quite sure if she ever said "Yes." He was petrified that the ring was going to fall into the lake because Amanda was shaking so badly. It was the most IMPERFECT, PERFECT moment ever!
