No. We are having a private ceremony a few days before with our immediate family. This will be a night to enjoy good food, dance, and to welcome in the New Year together.
Since the reception starts at 8 PM, expect to start eating on the later side. Please plan your earlier meals accordingly. We've timed the reception so we can all be together to ring in the new year but fear not, there will be plenty of food going around all night. We recommend bringing a warm extra layer as the event will be held outdoors. The venue has heaters placed throughout but if you are like us, you may get chilly at night. When planning your transportation to and from the venue, please be mindful that the reception is on New Year's Eve and ride-sharing services may not be readily available.
There is no perfect answer. However, you should note that LA is very neighborhood-centric, i.e. you may be able to get around a neighborhood on foot without a problem but if you are interested in exploring the city, renting a car likely makes sense.
Despite what you might see on the big screen, LA is not always hot and sunny. The temperature tends to fluctuate throughout the course of the day. We recommend packing with layers and preparing for potentially chilly mornings and evenings.
