The Chicago Architechture Tour is one of the best ways to see downtown Chicago and learn about the city. Tours run for 45 or 90 minutes and leave from one of two spots near 400 N Michigan Acenue, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Weekend tours tend to be busy, so we recommend booking early!
One of our favorite places to go for a walk! Steps away from the hotel, the Chicago Riverwalk runs along the main branch of the Chicago River on both the north and south sides. It's free to just walk around, but stopping in at the City Winery or the Tiny Tapp cafe for a beverage as you take in the sights downtown.
The Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the last free zoos left in the country! It's about a 10 minute drive from the hotel with parking available, but it would likely be about the same cost to take a ride share or cab.
The Museum Campus includes the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium. It is about a 10 minute drive/ride from the hotel with plenty of paid parking available if you'd rather drive.
About a 20 minute drive from the hotel, the Museum of Science and Industry has a rotating list of exhibits and is one of the largest science museums in the world.
One of the oldest and largest art museums in the world, this museum is located right next to Grant Park on Michigan Avenue. Our favorite exhibit - Thorne Miniature Room!
Millenium Part is a 25 acre section of Grant Park that is a center for art, architecture, and of course, contains the famous Bean (Cloud Gate). It also happens to be right off of Michigan Avenue in the Loop and is on the way to the Art Institute.
The famous Sears.. I mean Willis Tower. The Skydeck here has amazing views of the city including an entirely glass deck that you can stand on and look down on the city from over 100 stories up.
Navy Pier is full of tons of restaurants, shopping, a ferris wheel, and much more!
