Quick backstory to show how God works - so I relocated to Austin from Atlanta after 3 months of negotiation with my employer at that time. We finally get to an agreement, and I make the move. I start work on Monday and meet another manager who was literally the Latina version of me. Her name is Aree Garza. As we were getting to know each other that week, she was so surprised I was single and said she had this ONE single friend who she wants me to meet, he was super cute and smart. So I'm like why not, let me make a new friend if nothing else. So she is VERY persistent in getting in his DMs, texting him and asking him what he's doing that night so he can meet this "new girl." So Jake was completely unbothered because his best friends were in town. But my girl Aree remained consistent. We ended up meeting Jake and his friends and he was absolutely infatuated. He asked me to kiss him and everything. I told him, absolutely not but he could kiss me on the cheek. So he did that, I gave him my number. I can't even lie. Next thing you know, he was texting me at 7 a.m. the next morning, he invited me to meet him and his friends downtown the next day, and it was history after that. That following week, I was telling my friends and family that I met "The One." I literally kept saying to them, "Watch. He's my husband. That's my husband. It all makes sense." Of course, they thought I was crazy but when you look back, the whole thing was nothing but a true work of God and I'm forever grateful for stepping out on faith and making my move to Austin."

"ok ok ok so you have probably read her story but this is what actually happened. Aree was blowing me up on insta saying I havee to meet this girl she just met at work, saying that she is perfect for me. I told her ok I will meet her but my best friends are in town(my groomsmen) I am hanging out with them. Aree then asked what bar are you going to, I told her and she said ok we will meet you there. Later she called me and said "so she forgot her shoes so she's only got nike slides." I told I don't care if a woman can feel comfortable and look good in some slides she's my kind of woman(we later got engaged in those same slides). We had some great chemistry throughout the whole night it was a fun amazing night. Was I all over her yes, did I ask her for a kiss yes did she turn me down yes but let me give her a kiss on the cheek, did I text her the next morning at like 9am yes. The part she fails to mention is that she was also all over me as well, I also said hey lets play a joke on everyone. Let's tell them that we didn't like each other at all she was all for it but...she couldn't play it through after she left the bar because she couldn't stop cheesing. She also couldn't help but cheese when she saw my text when she woke up. Moral of the story love at first sight is a thing"
