Allow us to start by introducing ourselves: Allison Renee - Born in Merced, CA, currently residing in Miamisburg, Ohio. Attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights, OH. Works as an office administrator at VerCom Systems, Inc. Her hobbies include: reading, crafting, ATV riding, and hunting. Zachary Lee - Born in Dayton, OH, currently residing in Miamisburg, OH. Attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights, OH. Works as a senior project manager at VerCom Systems, Inc. His hobbies include: hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding. They first met in French class in high school; Allison was aiding in the class Zachary was taking. During the summer of 2012 after she graduated, he messaged her to ‘hang out’ at Carriage Hill (see Things To Do) and after turning him down 2 or 3 times, she finally agreed. Before heading home for the night and after a quick stop at UDF for a milkshake each, she knew that there was something special about him. Over the last 10 years, Zachary has taught her to love many of his outdoor hobbies; together, they spend quite some time at both archery and gun ranges, and riding (ATV for her, dirt bike for him) the trails at Wayne National Forest. They have been on many trips together, from Disney World to Cedar Point and other trips in between, but the best trip (in Allison’s opinion) was when they cruised on the Carnival Horizon in November 2019; not only does she love cruising under any ‘normal’ circumstance, but this particular time was special because this was when Zachary proposed! It was the first full day at sea, and as per usual, she woke up at 4:30 to walk around and get pictures of the ship without any passengers in them. We had a full day of eating, drinking, walking, and playing trivia (where she won the first trophy of that cruise, thanks to the help of her dad!). Later that afternoon, we headed back to our room to get ready for dinner as it was formal night. While she was putting on the finishing touches with her hair and makeup, Zachary stepped out onto the balcony of their room for a breath of fresh air (and maybe to help calm his nerves!); after a few moments, he tapped on the door and asked her to join him. They stood there for a few moments watching the sunset before he got down on his knee and proposed! After 10 (almost 11…) years together and 3.5 years engaged, we are overjoyed that our wedding day is fast approaching and that you are able to celebrate with us!
