Question
Is there transportation to and from hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
All guests are responsible for arranging their arrival TO wedding at La Cuesta Ranch. For returning home, there will be a shuttle leaving from La Cuesta Ranch to central drop-off locations in downtown San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach, and Shell Beach after the wedding ends. Please review the drop off points in advance so you can let the driver know which spot you need to be dropped off at. Bus schedule: -10:45pm -12:15am -1:30am DROP OFF POINTS: 1. Can I bring my kids to the wedding?
Answer
We love kids, and we wish that we could have all of your children there. In an effort to keep the wedding party size down, we kindly ask that you leave your children at home. If you are traveling from out of town, can not secure childcare, and thus can only come to the wedding if your children attend, please contact us to see if we can make something work. Children are invited and encouraged at other events outside of the wedding at La Cuesta Ranch on Friday!

Are ubers readily available in San Luis Obispo?
Answer
Sometimes. You can often catch ubers if you book in advance or don't mind waiting during peak hours. They are often a bit pricier than what you find in a larger city. It is difficult to get ubers late at night, so we recommend booking in advance if you anticipate needing a late-night ride. We will arrange transportation from the wedding to three main drop off points: downtown SLO, Shell Beach, and Pismo Beach. These towns are small enough where guests can walk from the central drop off points.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If there is a +1 indicated on your invitation, please bring a date to the wedding. If you have a partner and do not have a +1 indicated on your invitation, please feel free to bring a plus one to all other events outside of the wedding and reception.

Where should I stay in San Luis Obispo County?
Answer
We will be holding wedding events in or near downtown San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach. We recommend staying in downtown San Luis Obispo (if you prefer a town vibe) or Pismo Beach (if you prefer a beach vibe) as these are the towns where the free shuttle will drop people throughout and after the wedding reception. Regardless, feel free to stay anywhere that suits your fancy and budget. We will not be providing a hotel block option, but please see the travel tab for recommendations on hotels and air bnbs in the area.

What should I wear to the wedding?
Answer
Dressy casual and festive attire highly encouraged, but please wear whatever makes you happy! The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at La Cuesta Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Note there will be gravel and grass to navigate, as well as some serious dance action going on, so please wear shoes accordingly. Stilettoes not recommended. San Luis Obispo nights are often chilly, so please plan to bring a layer and make sure to check the weather in advance.

What airport should I fly into?
Answer
The SLO airport (code: SBP) is the closest airport. If you'd like to extend your trip to California, we suggest flying into San Francisco (SFO) and taking a couple days to drive the famous down HWY 1 through Big Sur. See more details on the Travel tab.
