We are delighted you have chosen to spend this special day with us and we look forward to hosting you together with our families and Gordon Lodge. Door County is located in a relatively secluded part of Wisconsin. The entire county (plus a few islands) forms a peninsula that juts into Lake Michigan from the east-central side of the state. This means there’s really only one way into the area, which is from the base of the peninsula connected to Wisconsin’s mainland (the cities of Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay). Many people opt to fly in to the nearest airport of Green Bay and enjoy the scenic one-hour drive into the county. This means having car access while you’re up here will be invaluable. However, once you arrive, the charming towns of Bailey's Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Fish Creek are at most 16 minutes apart. Door County’s relative isolation means plotting your arrival may take some doing, but it also means several days of peace, serenity, and unadulterated natural beauty.

There are lots of little markets in the area, but the main grocery store is the Piggly Wiggly located at 10576 Country Walk Dr., in Sister Bay.

This is where we will be having our ceremony and reception. However, it is not where we are staying for the weekend. Gordon Lodge prioritizes larger weddings first. And since we are keeping it small, we do not get first dibs on room blocks. That being said, at 90 days out from the wedding, what hasn't been booked by the larger wedding will become available. So, there may still be an opportunity to stay there, if you wish to. An account number has been set up at Gordon Lodge, should you choose to stay there for the wedding. Justin and Allison stayed at this charming family run Inn on a previous trip to the area. They both enjoyed the walkability and proximity to shops, & restaurants. There is a room block for wedding guests for the nights of Friday the 21st and Saturday the 22nd. There are 4 king sized bed rooms, and 2 double queen rooms available. After doing some searching we have found this is one of the most affordable places, as well as one of the very few places that allows single night stays. For that reason, they do not allow room blocks. But as of me typing this, they have lots of available rooms.
