While in Grad School, Allison was a hostess here for a couple months. Under new ownership now, this is a great place for groups to grab dinner. It is located on the water of Lake Austin. There is a coffee house next door, Motzart's Coffee Roasters, that has a great holiday light show with music at night as well as fabulous coffee!

The Rainey Street Historic District is a street of historic homes, many of the bungalow style, in downtown Austin, Texas. The appropriately named Bungalow bar on Rainey Street. James and Annetta White opened the Broken Spoke in 1964, then a mile south of the Austin city limits, under a massive live oak, and beside what would eventually become South Lamar Boulevard. White built the place himself, beginning construction on the day he received his honorable discharge from the US Army.
