Chris and Jaime met at Eastern Connecticut State University. They both attended a party where Jaime spotted this tall man breaking it down on the dance floor. Incredibly shocked that he somehow not hit his head on the ceiling, she knew she had to ask him to dance. From that night, Chris and Jaime became fast friends. Throughout college, their friendship grew into a little more as they were in the same classes and would talk and hang out all the time outside of class. After graduation they went their separate ways but kept in touch (thank you snapchat). Chris in CT and Jaime in Philly. In 2017, Jaime’s new job sent her to Charlotte and she saw Chris was living there. She immediately reached out to him to grab drinks and they ended up going to the epicenter and danced the night away at Tin Roof (rustic, IYKYK). They knew it was special and marked their appearance with signed dollar on the roof, Key West style! The following years, Jaime extended each trip and spent more time with Chris experiencing the Queen City. During COVID, Jaime and Chris began facetiming and talking more often. Chris finally realized it was time he owed Jaime a trip to Philly (finally). They went on their first official date where Chris made quite the confession! “I couldn’t come to Philly without telling you how I feel… you’ve always been my Great White Buffalo…” To which Jaime responded, “I’m a Buffalo, I’m sorry, WHAT?!” Chris explained it meant she was “the one that got away.” Chris and Jaime started their relationship long distance, traveling to Charlotte and Philly monthly to see each other. Then Jaime told Chris she was planning on relocating down south for work. Funny how things work… 6 months later, Jaime decided to move to Charlotte. After a year, they moved in to their first apartment together where Chris proposed to one of their favorite songs on a random Tuesday in May. Although Jaime thought she was being surprised with a puppy, the surprise Chris had was much better. (Still waiting on that puppy though…) Both Chris & Jaime are excited for this next adventure, starting their happily ever after. They cannot wait to start the next chapter and celebrate their love with all their favorite people!
