FAQs

Question

Do we have to wear masks?

Answer

The ceremony will be in a small enclosed space. Masks are not required, but you are welcome to wear them. We will likely keep the back rows open for mask-wearers so that they can be separate from other guests not wearing masks. The reception will be outdoors.

Question

Can I use my phone at the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom are requesting NO phones at the ceremony. Don't worry, the photographer will get plenty of pictures! Phones will be allowed at the reception, however, we encourage all guests to enjoy the moment and unplug. It's the Terlingua way!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

May in Terlingua is probably going to be hot but the desert nights can get a little chilly. The theme is Day of the Dead so anything Mexican inspired or brightly colored is great! The terrain is pretty rocky so we recommend wearing either flats or low heels.

Question

Can I fly into Terlingua?

Answer

The closest airport is Midland which is still a 4 hr drive. There is a small airport at Lajitas Golf Resort (about 15 miles from Terlingua). They run service out of Love Field but it is about $900/person.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out the travel page, we listed a ton of little hotels and rentals in the area. There are also a ton of listings on Airbnb and VRBO. And for the adventurous ones, there are plenty of places to camp or park your RV!

Question

When and where will the bride and groom be honeymooning?

Answer

In typical #Dylisse fashion, they are tentatively planning a 2 week roadtrip to see several national parks including Yellowstone, Zion, and Badlands. When they will take this trip is still being determined based on work schedules.
