Alison & Matt met in their penultimate year at the University of Michigan at a St. Patrick's Day mixer. They hit it off, but the night was cut short because Alison had to go home early to study for the next morning's math quiz. Luckily they reconnected later that summer in Chicago where Matt was interning and went on their first date at Eataly. They dated all through senior year, traveling to Savannah for the first time together to visit Alison's parents at their home in nearby Hilton Head, SC, for the holidays (now an annual tradition). Alison & Matt spent New Year's 2019 in downtown Savannah where they fell in love with the city and each other :) The young couple was pushed further together by the pandemic, with Alison moving into Matt's apartment in Madison. During their time in Wisconsin, Alison & Matt worked, baked, raised plants, learned to golf, made great memories with roommates, and adopted their beloved cat Sandy. They even started a music business together! Through another two moves back to Ann Arbor then just last fall to Brooklyn, New York, Alison & Matt have grown so much individually and as a couple. In December 2022, Matt surprised Alison by proposing under the Rockefeller Center tree, the perfect New York City memory, and they've been looking forward to getting married ever since! Beyond NYC, Alison & Matt love to experience new places, foods and cultures, and are so excited to invite everyone to one of their favorite, most romantic cities: Savannah.
