Is the reception kid-friendly?

Answer

While the venue allows children, you can see from the photo above that not all areas are kid-friendly and could get somewhat dangerous after dark. We should not be in these areas when it is dark, but there is no way to block them off completely. We recommend getting a babysitter so you can enjoy yourselves without worry! If you need help finding a babysitter that you can trust, please reach out to Sam or Alison for assistance. If there is enough interest, we may also bring a couple of sitters to the reception venue.

Do I need to reserve my hotel room by a certain date?

Answer

Unfortunately, there are not many hotels that are close to the reception venue and we were unable to secure a hotel block close by. Fortunately, there are multiple options that we feel would be an even better experience! On the Where to Stay page, we've provided links to glamping (air-conditioned) yurts and vacation homes in the area. We also provided links to the hotels that are between the church and reception venue. We DO recommend booking as soon as you decide you might come, especially if there is a flexible cancellation policy, because prices in Austin are most affordable if you book as far in advance as possible. If the cost of staying in the area might prevent you from coming, please reach out to Sam and Alison--there are many family members in the area that we can help connect you to!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample parking for all guests at both the church and reception venue.
