Question

IS THERE A HOTEL ROOM BLOCK FOR GUESTS?

Answer

See "Travel and Lodging" for information on our room block at the Blackberry River Inn as well as alternative lodging options such as the Interlacken Inn. If the room block appears full, please let us know.

Question

WILL THE WEDDING DAY EVENT BE INDOORS?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, with dinner and dancing to follow under a tent. There is always the chance for a cooler evening, so we recommend checking the weather in Sharon, CT and preparing accordingly.

Question

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

The wedding day attire is Festive Formal. Dress to your best; we'd like you to feel comfortable so that you can express yourself fully on the dance floor! Color and creative expression are strongly encouraged! Please try to avoid shades of black and grey. Ladies are encouraged to wear colorful formal dresses and comfortable heels / shoes. Men are encouraged to wear suits or a sport coat with a tie and slacks. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be on a grass surface. Please avoid wearing shoes with narrow heels.

Question

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED TO/FROM THE WEDDING VENUE?

Answer

We will provide shuttles from the Interlacken Inn and BlackBerry Farm Inn to the venue on Saturday only. If you're not planning to use our shuttle service, we recommend scheduling a car service ahead of time as our venue is somewhat remote with limited cell service.

Question

DOES THE VENUE HAVE PARKING?

Answer

There is limited parking at the venue. The event parking lot will be clearly marked near the red barn when you reach the end of the driveway. There will be a golf cart running from the parking lot to the ceremony site. If you are driving, please plan to arrive no later than 3:15 PM.

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE CEREMONY?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. If you don't plan on taking the shuttle, we strongly recommend arriving approximately 45 minutes early to make your way to the ceremony site and enjoy a refreshment. Shuttle Bus schedules will be distributed prior to our wedding weekend.

Question

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Answer

Daytime temperatures will likely be in 70s. Because of the time of year, temperatures can drop into the mid to low 60s at night. You may want to check the weather closer to the event and consider bringing layers.

Question

WILL THE DINING OPTIONS BE ABLE TO ACCOMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Answer

Our caterer, Hunt and Harvest, will be able to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Please let us know when you RSVP, or feel free to text/email us.

Question

HOW DO I RSVP AND WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

Answer

Once we send out our invitations, we will ask you to formally RSVP on our website by May 4, 2024.

Question

WHAT TIME WILL THE RECEPTION END? WILL THERE BE AN AFTER PARTY?

Answer

The band will wrap up around 11:00 PM. We will have an after party on-site until the final shuttle leaves at 12:00 AM. Final bus schedule will be shared closer to the wedding day.

Question

ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?

Answer

While we love all of your kids dearly, this is an adult only event. Thank you!
