Question

What is California black-tie?

Answer

California Black Tie is a modern and relaxed take on the traditional black tie attire, blending sophistication with the laid-back elegance that epitomizes the Californian lifestyle. This dress code allows for a degree of creativity and personal expression while still maintaining a polished and refined appearance. For gentlemen, California Black Tie typically entails a tuxedo or a black or dark navy suit. While the conventional black tie remains a staple, gentlemen may opt for a tastefully crafted bow tie or a slender tie in a subdued pattern or hue. Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length or tea-length dresses, embracing a spectrum of colors that reflect the celebratory ambiance. We do ask you avoid whites, ivories, and champagne which are the colors of bridal party attire. Rich jewel tones, soft pastels, and vibrant hues are encouraged. We also encourage practicality, considering much of the evening will be spent on grass. For your comfort, we recommend opting for practical shoes that can navigate uneven terrain with ease. For our guests who choose to wear heels, we will be providing heel caps to prevent sinking into the grass. Additionally, please be mindful that evenings in our locale can be chilly, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or shawl to keep warm as the night progresses. Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We kindly request that our celebration be reserved for adult attendees only, with the exception of the three flower children participating in our ceremony. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated as we strive to ensure an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and enjoyment for all guests.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to restricted guest counts and limited capacity, we kindly request that only individuals indicated by name on the invitation attend our celebration. While we would love to accommodate additional guests, we must adhere to our venue's capacity limitations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Question

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means were are asking that all phones be put away and turned to silent/off during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present. We have hired a wonderful professional photographer and videographer to capture the day that we promise to share with you. After the ceremony please free to take as many photos as you want (and share them with us)!

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

When you RSVP on our website, you'll find a section dedicated to special requests and dietary preferences. Please feel free to indicate any food allergies or dietary restrictions you may have, and our team will ensure that accommodations are made to cater to your needs. Should you have any additional concerns or specific requests, please don't hesitate to reach out to either the bride or groom directly.
