California Black-Tie

For gentlemen, California Black Tie typically entails a tuxedo, though a black or dark navy suit is acceptable as well. While the conventional black tie remains a staple, gentlemen may opt for a tastefully crafted bow tie or a slender tie in a subdued pattern or hue. Ladies are encouraged to wear floor-length or tea-length dresses, embracing a spectrum of colors that reflect the celebratory ambiance. We do ask you avoid whites, ivories, and champagne which are the colors of bridal party attire. Rich jewel tones, soft pastels, and vibrant hues are encouraged. We also encourage practicality, considering much of the evening will be spent on grass. For your comfort, we recommend opting for practical shoes that can navigate uneven terrain with ease. For our guests who choose to wear heels, we will be providing heel caps to prevent sinking into the grass. Additionally, please be mindful that evenings in our locale can be chilly, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or shawl to keep warm.
