Rob and Alexis both served as Peace Corps Volunteers in different countries and at different times. Rob served in Morocco from 2004 to 2006, and Alexis served in Botswana from 2010 to 2013. When Alexis returned home to Dallas in 2013, she joined a community for Peace Corps alumni called the North Texas Peace Corps Association. Rob was already an active member, and Alexis quickly joined Rob on the group’s steering committee. They began working on the same projects within the group, though perhaps not coincidentally! One “working lunch meeting” turned into suggestions for a date, which turned in to many, many more dates and travels to follow. 💚
