It all started on a dating app called Bumble. Alexandra was on the last leg of a seemingly endless cycle of failed dates. Matt, on the other hand, was hopeful and enthusiastic with his first cast into the sea of dating. Alexandra and Matt had made arrangements to have their first date the following night. However, Alexandra was out with friends the night before and they encouraged her to invite Matt out to the infamous Cozy Corner – a dive bar with a karaoke machine. Within minutes of meeting each other, Alexandra's name was announced over the PA system. Alexandra was summoned to serenade her new Bumble date, and only one song could do it justice... "Hand in My Pocket" by Alanis Morissette. Without missing a single note, Alexandra flawlessly warbled the song, shadowing all others who sang along with her. Matt was infatuated with the unrivaled vocal skills demonstrated effortlessly by Alexandra. Matt must know more about this woman. Without hesitation, Matt bought Alexandra a drink from the barkeep. "Two vodkas with sprite, please,” Matt said with urgency, yet poise. As the couple sat down at an off-balanced table with their freshly made drinks, Matt quickly got lost in Alexandra's smoky green eyes. Instant sparks were flying, along with a lime peel that was nervously squeezed out of Alexandra's hand while supplementing her cocktail. The lime peel struck Matt in the chest, knocking his breath away. Matt showed no signs of injury. Due to his years of military training, his focus could not be diverted. Alexandra and Matt finally had the chance to dive deeper and get to know each other better. This was the chance to talk about everything important in their lives! Oh? what's that? Shuffleboard??
