This event is also semi-formal! Similar to the pre-wedding events, you can wear whatever you feel comfortable with. We both want everyone to have a wonderful time and be comfortable. If you would like to wear Indian clothes we encourage women to wear sarees or lehengas. For men, you can choose traditional sherwanis or a kurtha All colors are welcome!
Start first by asking your Indian friends if they have outfits you could borrow! We do not want you to go out buying new clothes for all of these events! Please contact Karthi or Alex if you are having trouble figuring out what to wear! Here are some links to Indian clothing websites for inspiration or if you would like to purchase/rent some outfits! You can also get a lehenga skirt and wear it with a matching color crop top of your choice! If you are having trouble finding or figuring out what to wear contact us we would love to help you!! For men, if buying, we recommend getting a kurtha top or set, you can wear a kurtha top with dark jeans if more comfortable. What if I don’t feel comfortable wearing Indian Clothes? This is completely okay!! As mentioned before, our priority is for you to have a wonderful time! All events will be semi-formal/cocktail attire so please feel free to wear western (American style clothes) More Guides and resources about Indian weddings/rituals and outfit guides: https://thetalesoftradition.com/south-indian-wedding-tradition/ https://www.theknot.com/content/hindu-wedding-guest-qa https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-indian-wedding
