We met in the most romantic way possible, in the cadaver lab. We were not in the same lab, however still managed to meet because we were "tank neighbors". We bonded over the strenuous hours of studying in the library and trying to survive the highs and lows of medical school.

Right after we graduated medical school Alex had come to visit Nashua for Preethi's high school graduation. We had planned a small vacation to Bar Harbor weeks in advance because we wanted to celebrate the short time before we started residency in Ohio. When we arrived in Bar Harbor it was cold and cloudy, but we wanted to make the most of our time. We made reservations at the restaurant at our hotel. Alex said he wanted to take pictures when it was still sunny and I had no idea. We were trying to find the perfect spot and I turned around and he was down on one knee. I started tearing up and was at a loss for words! And just like that we were engaged! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in New England!!
