Tell me about Grand Cayman!

Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Western Caribbean. George Town, its capital, is home to many international financial companies that make the island known as a major offshore banking destination. The city is also a major cruise-ship port. Beautiful beaches and vibrant coral reefs are the islands hallmarks. P.S. Don't forget your passport! :)

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

There is no need for a rental car! There are taxis lined up at the airport and numerous cab companies to call if you'd like a ride somewhere from your hotel or condo. However, if you would like to rent a car we recommend our friends at Andy's Rent-A-Car: http://www.andys.ky/ And don't forget - we drive on the LEFT side of the road in Cayman!

Should I convert currency?

Answer

No! Although prices are typically listed in CI, the official currency of the Cayman Islands, the U.S. Dollar is readily accepted and you will simply receive CI as change. The CI dollar maintains a fixed rate exchange with the U.S. dollar: 1 KYD = 1.25 USD
