WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN SICILY?

Sicily is one of the most beautiful and diverse parts of Italy! We highly encourage you to refer to the "Things To Do" section (see main menu tab above) for recommendations.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

This time of the year in Sicily is stunning! During the day it will likely be in the mid-high 80's, and at night in the mid-low 70's. Because we'll be right by the beach it can get a little cooler at night due to the sea breeze.

SHOULD WE RENT A CAR?

Answer

Driving in Sicily, similar to most places abroad, can be quite hectic! We'd highly encourage folks to utilize public and private transportation. With that said, if you do want to rent a car, please follow these suggested guidelines: (1) Rent a car from Catania airport for the best prices and optimal convenience (2) It is highly advisable to elect for full comprehensive coverage (3) If you cannot drive a manual, make sure you are using one of the major car rental agencies (e.g., Enterprise, Hertz); the local ones are very likely to stick you with a manual car regardless if you reserve an automatic as there is limited availability (4) Be very mindful of your belongings and surroundings and DO NOT leave your bags unattended in the car. While Sicily is a wonderful and beautiful place, better safe than sorry.
