Canal Walk
We have lived next to the Canal since 2017, and it has been one of our favorite places to walk our dog and enjoy the city. Please feel free to consider renting a paddleboat, kayak, or surrey bike as other ways to explore too!
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
If you have time, you should check out the world's largest childrens' museum! It is a true Indianapolis classic that is fit for all ages with five interactive and fun floors.
The Fashion Mall at Keystone
Located within walking distance from the hotel, the Fashion Mall can be a fun place to grab a bite to eat or pick up an item that you may have forgotten to bring!
Indianapolis Zoo
One of the largest privately funded zoos in the nation, the Indianapolis Zoo is located on 64 acres of land in White River State Park. There are more than 230 species of animals with fun exhibits like the Dolphin Dome!
Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum’s mission is to preserve and share one of the world’s premier collections of automotive and motor racing vehicles and artifacts, with special emphasis on the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The museum collection encompasses automobiles and artifacts representing more than a century of Indianapolis 500 culture, drama and competition, plus vehicles representing NASCAR, Formula One, American short-track racing, drag racing and motorcycles.
Newfields
Previously called the "Indianapolis Museum of Art", Newfields includes the art museum on its 152-acre campus that also houses Lilly House, The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park: 100 Acres, The Gardens at Newfields, the Beer Garden, and more. The Indianapolis Museum of Art is the ninth oldest and eighth largest encyclopedic art museum in the United States. The permanent collection comprises over 54,000 works, including African, American, Asian, and European pieces.
Eiteljorg Museum
The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art houses an extensive collection of visual arts by indigenous peoples of the Americas, as well as Western American paintings and sculptures collected by businessman and philanthropist Harrison Eiteljorg. The museum houses one of the finest collections of Native contemporary art in the world.
Museum of Miniature Houses and Other Collections
The Museum of Miniature Houses is one of only a few museums in the country devoted to the art of fine scale miniature. The museum’s collection contains thousands of miniatures including room boxes, miniature houses, and exquisite individual items. Also included are collections that may be tiny or full size. These rotate throughout the year.
Conner Prairie
Conner Prairie is a living history museum in unincorporated south-central Hamilton County, Indiana, United States, which preserves the William Conner home. The home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the museum recreates 19th-century life along the White River.
