New Year's Eve in New Orleans is usually pretty busy! Aside from the fact that it's a great place to party, the Sugar Bowl is held in NOLA on New Year's Eve. We suggest looking for an AirBnB or hotel sooner rather than later. NYE in New Orleans is great, but the French Quarter streets near Jackson Square are often blocked off for the Gumbo Bowl Drop, fireworks on the river, and other NYE festivities. The Garden District (uptown) is always a great place to stay, and the Warehouse district is great, too. Both offer a lot of walkability and activities. The Warehouse District has some great art museums and upscale restaurants, and the Garden District is more chill, but super scenic and also has awesome restaurants. Although we adore your kids, find a sitter for the night and come celebrate New Years Eve and our wedding....FINALLY! If you need some help, you can contact Ashely Hellstern.
