Depending on who you talk to, exactly where and when they met differs. Maybe it was the boathouse during lifeguard training, PBA over shots by the groom, or the Lakewood dining hall during staff training...either way it happened at camp. With Sammi working at camp, and Aidan at Trout Lodge times together were spent with boathouse visits and PBA weekend nights. Summer at camp flew by- like it always does. August rolled around, and Sammi was supposed to head off to start life after college, and Aidan was supposed to start his travels before eventually returning home. Then August 10 happened. It was the camp after banquet party which is notorious for having at least one good tale to come from it ~ this is the best one yet. Aidan mustered up the courage (maybe the bud selects helped) to tell Sammi how he felt. A first date was set and August 24 Cards game, and the rest is history.

The best day yet, during a hike through the Abel Tasman National Park, Aidan surprised Sammi at Stillwell Bay. He cleverly had her looking for a spot for lunch. When she wasn't looking he got down on one knee, and of course she said Yes!
