What is this "Little House" you speak of? It's a beautiful yellow farmhouse located at 23317 Welty Church Road, outside the town of Smithsburg, MD, 21783. It is surrounded by farms on the north and east sides, and by Stouffers Mennonite Church on the south. Parking is at the church, including the mowed grass sections. Please walk to the Little House's yard via the fenced area.

What's the attire?

Answer

"Backyard chic" - please look spiffed up but shorts and sandals are welcome. The yard is grass so be sure to wear shoes that are suitable for some small ups and downs. No T-shirts.

Is there a vegetarian or vegan option to the meal?

Answer

The lunch buffet will be a build-your-own taco (or burrito or even salad) style. Chicken, beef, vegetables and toppings will be offered in their own pans and you are free to take what you want. If you are vegan or have any other dietary needs to pass along, please let us know. This meal will also be nut-free.

What lodging is available?

Answer

We have rooms blocked at the Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in Waynesboro, PA, which is on the cheaper side of average and is only 10 minutes from the Little House. If you'd rather be closer to shops and restaurants, there are many hotels in Hagerstown, MD, the closest city.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes! Please include them in your RSVP so we know to include them. If you need them, please be sure to bring your own booster chairs or high chairs as we don't have any of these.

What times does the event start and finish?

Answer

We ask guests to please arrive around 11:30. The formal ceremony itself will begin at 12, then lunch will begin at 1:00. The event is finished at 3:30pm.

What if it's raining?

We have rented a tent and plan to be there rain or shine!
