Best Man
When Aidan was 6, he found Aaron roaming the streets of Sacriston dressed as Darth Vader, so naturally Aidan went home, put on his Batman costume, and challenged Aaron to a fight. This was the start of a 20 year long friendship and counting. Aidan and Aaron were always together, and when they weren't together, Aaron was standing outside of Aidan's garden waiting for leftover barbeque food. From Sunderland matches, to holidays, to nights in the local club, Aidan and Aaron have shared countless memories together, making Aaron the only candidate for Best Man.
Maid of Honor
Despite having an abundance of mutual friends, Rachel and Harriet didn't become friends themselves until sixth form, bonding during all of those free periods spent in Spoons. Harry has the most chaotic energy, is living through her 20s as though they are her 40s, can switch from drinking cocktails to cuppas in a nanosecond, and is simultaneously the mother and child of the group. Everyone needs a friend like Harry.
Bridesmaid
Imogen asked Rachel round her house for tea one day in school, a day which set them up for a life of friendship. From their days in school right the way into adulthood Imogen has always been great at making all their friends laugh, and if all else fails she is always on hand with an Imogen Spritz and a chaotic night out.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Nataleigh have been friends for so long that they refer to the length of time as 'since the womb'. They have been through every life experience together and, since they're definitely bound for life, there will be many more to come. Nata is filled with pointless facts which makes her a great quiz partner (although she did get rejected by The Chase), and you can always count on her to keep you up to date with current affairs. She also has a very quick sense of humour and never fails to make any of us laugh.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Georgia's friendship was born when Aidan's best friend Aaron finally managed to secure a girlfriend. A friendship of convenience soon turned into more, and Rachel found herself a bottomless brunch going, book sharing, Starbucks loving, friend for life.
Bridesmaid
Lara, Aidan's sister, was just 9 years old when Aidan first introduced Rachel into the family. Growing up with 4 older brothers meant Lara was thrilled when they finally started to bring girlfriends home. A pent up release of girliness was soon unleashed, and many hair and make up sessions commenced for Rachel. Taking after her brother, Lara is laidback and calm which makes for a great bridesmaid and an even better sister-in-law.
Flower Girl
From the moment Aidan and Rachel first held their niece in their arms they were instantly besotted. Seeing Indie is always the highlight of their day, whether she's sporting her cheeky smile, feeding her dinner to the dog, or dancing her heart out to clubland, she always lights up the room.
Groomsman
Being the oldest (but by no means wisest) Campbell sibling came with big responsibility for Lewis as he attempted to steer his siblings in the right direction. Lewis displayed role model behaviour when he was excluded from school, when he ruined Christmas dinner by throwing a strop over music being played at the ripe age of 22, and when he shaved Aidan's hair off in the kitchen as part of a bet. Despite this, Lewis is a very caring, thoughtful soul, and is a wonderful Dad to Indie.
Groomsman
As the second eldest Campbell brother, Alec teamed up with Lewis to ensure that Aidan was terrorised throughout his childhood. From being thrown into freezing paddling pools to having spiders put down his pants, Aidan was subject to it all. Despite this, Alec went up in Aidan's estimates when he became the father of Aidan and Rachel's favourite fluffy niece, Dotty. Alec's quick witted humour and chatty nature highlight his presence in every room, and means he can talk to just about everyone.
Groomsman
Being the youngest of the brothers meant Rowan was the only one Aidan could ever get the upper hand on, leaving poor Rowan subject to Aidan's retaliation. Despite this, they did eventually start to get along, and spent many years playing games and watching WWE together. When Aidan and Rachel bought their first home, Rowan was their personal handyman and was called to do many DIY jobs. He is always the first to offer if anyone needs help, but if you catch him at a time he's playing darts or Fortnite, you're out of luck.
Groomsman
Aidan and Harry became friends 8 years ago after being introduced by Aaron. For a number of years Harry was Aidan's personal taxi, driving him back and forth to Rachel's house whilst Aidan continuously failed his driving test. Harry was host to many memorable house parties over the years. From fights breaking out, to sinks being ripped off the wall, to Harry being subject to fire extinguisher attacks, they were definitely ones for the books. Nowadays Harry's life has mellowed and he spends his Tuesday evenings alongside Aidan playing football with middle aged men.
Groomsman
Aidan and Ryan have been friends for that long the how and where of the friendship is uncertain. Ryan is known for his questionable sense of humour, and can make you laugh without even trying. He once fell through the decking at The John Duck in Durham and had the whole pub laughing and despite having visible injuries, he took a free pint as compensation and got on with the night. Alongside providing constant entertainment, Ryan has the biggest heart and is happy to help anybody.
