Shawn & I originally met back in 2014 when he was working at Cloverdale High School as my athletic trainer. I was about to graduate and head off to college. My best friend, Megan and I were talking to Shawn one day about college as we were attending Franklin College like he did. We vividly remember him telling us, "College is the best time of your life." He was right. College was great. The first couple years before Franklin homecoming, one of us would reach out to him to see if he was going to be around that year. After a couple years, we stopped messaging him. Then in 2019, Meg told me to reach out to him about homecoming that year. She also added in that she thought he was single. I was reluctant to reach out at first but then thought what the heck. Once I texted him, he let me know that he was not attending homecoming but did ask me to come hang out sometime. After our first time hanging out, we became inseparable. Even though the timing of us meeting again may not have been perfect, I believe God had a plan for us. Here we are almost 4 years later and I wouldn't change a thing!

We also wanted to provide some information on our honeymoon fund. We have lived together for almost 4 years now and no longer need any other house items, cookware, etc. So instead of having a registry we are going to do a honeymoon fund. We plan to go on our honeymoon at the beginning of 2024! Your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift to us but if you feel inclined to donate to our honeymoon fund it is available on the registry tab! This is a backyard wedding. Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident, and keeps you warm. Whether this is a suit, dress or jeans and a t-shirt. We are just happy to have you there. Who knows what the weather is going to be like with it being mid October. Please bring a sweatshirt as it may be chilly later in the evening!

We did not block off a hotel section for out of town guests as we were not sure how many would be coming from out of town. However, we do have a few hotel suggestions that are just a few miles down the road from our wedding.
