We're getting married!

Reilly and Aditi met as dewy-eyed freshmen at Vanderbilt. While they shared some common friends, it wasn't until they were in a class together that they had the courage to talk to each other. Over time, their shared class slowly became their favorite! However, the romance could have fizzled out the summer of Freshman year before it had a chance to grow. As luck would have it, Sophomore year, Aditi and Reilly returned to college to find out, to their surprise, that they lived on the same co-ed dorm room floor (also by coincidence the same floor Mrs. Dodd lived in when she went to Vanderbilt)! After hanging out a lot at a dance club, Reilly asked Aditi to the movies and the rest is history :)

Feeling the stresses of life, Aditi suggested the couple take a weekend off to enjoy the simple pleasures of time together. Conveniently, Reilly's parents had a lake house two hours from Nashville, so Aditi excitedly started planning a weekend trip. Little did she know, Reilly already had the ring and was looking for any sly excuse to spend some time together. On Saturday, the plan was to share some home-made meals: Reilly to cook brunch, and Aditi dinner. As was their routine, she slept in for quite some time while he got up to "study for the LSAT" and prepare brunch. After awaking, the bride-to-be was surprised to see the staircase leading to the kitchen adorned with purple petals. Admittedly, she was slightly nervous seeing the petals, but only because the dinner she planned was not going to be nearly as nice! Still, seeing her smiling boyfriend at the top pf the stairs calmed her, and she noticed some letters strewn across the floor. She read each of them and was led to the outdoor porch to see a heart of roses with a book in the middle. Still not quite getting it, Aditi thought to herself: "I guess he wants me to journal more." When the book said, "Will you marry me?", she was absolutely shocked! Seeing Reilly down on one knee, Aditi (still in shock) managed to get out a simple, but meaningful, yes :)

Aditi Deepak is the daughter of Mrs. Priya Deepak and Dr. Deepak Raghavan. Reilly Dodd is the son of Mrs. Elizabeth (Beth) Dodd and Mr. John Evan (Jed) Dodd.
