It all started with "Hi, I'm Addie! You're Abbey! We should be friends." and the rest is history. Not only is Abbey the absolute best school counselor at Ruckersville Elementary, where Addie teaches second grade, but she is also an amazing friend. Abbey and Addie can be found carpooling to work *almost* every day (with the occasional Dunkin' or Starbucks stop), but still aren't tired enough of each other to spend their free time together—walking their favorite trails, enjoying the best food and drinks Charlottesville has to offer, and organizing game nights with friends!
Brandon Warren
Best Man
Brandon was Jake's first year roommate at the University of Virginia. Also a member of the Cavalier Marching Band, Brandon and Jake immediately had many other things in common including numerous medications lined up on their nightstands due to extreme seasonal allergies. Once Jake and Brandon warmed up to each other as roommates, late night music production sessions quickly devolved into laughs and mischievous hijinks that you can only get away with when young. Many great times were had during first year at Hancock 119. Most will be left undivulged.
Devon McCade

Devon is one of "Ms. Snyder's bffs" as Addie and Devon's students always say. She teaches first grade at RES and has always been such an encouraging and supportive presence in Addie's life. Devon knows how to make anyone feel special with her bright and caring personality! Devon and Addie can also be found spending time together outside of work—going on double dates to the arcade, pool days, and eating at local restaurants. Fun fact: Devon and her fiancé, David, took Addie and Jake's amazing engagement photos!
Drake Wagner
Groomsman
Drake and Jake also met through the Cavalier Marching Band and quickly discovered a shared love for hard rock, pop punk, and playing live music. They formed their cover band "All in Favor" and played many live shows at numerous bars at UVA's Corner and Downtown Charlottesville during their time at school. Drake is also a huge fan of Spongebob and loves to have a good time living his life to the absolute fullest. While Drake might be a delinquent former bandmate to Jake, he is definitely a forever friend. Who knows, a reunion tour might happen soon?
Jessica Hipskind
Bridesmaid
Jessica is Addie's oldest sister. Super Mom to Arbor, Charlotte, and Oscar, there is never a dull moment in her life and she wouldn't have it any other way! Jessica is always encouraging the kids to get outside and share her love of nature, which is evident in how amazing her yard looks (#mastergardenerstatus)! Addie loves getting to spend time with Jessica and her fam when she comes home to Lynchburg.
TJ Walsh

Tyler James Walsh, colloquially known as "TJ," met Jake after knocking on his hotel door at 3am on the first night of UVA band camp after returning from his Drum Corps International tour with the Spartans. Jake, in a half-asleep state, thought it was an upperclassman messing with him pretending to be the ghost of Thomas Jefferson ("TJ"). Jake promptly ignored the ghost and TJ ended up sleeping on the floor of the hotel that night. Despite this, they still became great friends and quickly bonded over their People to People trip experiences, love of funk music (TJ shared "Vulfpeck" and more with Jake), and compatible personalities.
Erin Tutt

Erin is Addie's older sister. Growing up, Erin was such a thoughtful sister as she would always play with Addie and her dolls, creating the coolest accessories out there. Now, Erin can be found slaying the hair game at Birch Salon in Richmond! Addie loves going to support Erin, and always leaves feeling glamorous and pampered! Erin and Addie also love talking and watching reality TV, especially Vanderpump Rules–maybe one day they’ll get to visit SUR together!?
David Nussbaum

David and Jake met in the Cavalier Marching Band as fellow drumline members. An excellent cook, bartender, and connoisseur of experience, David would frequently make good meals and cocktails for the boys to enjoy. David is such a likable person, that you can't help but to just love the guy! He always asks about Addie and Jake's life with a sincere smile on his face. At UVA, David and Jake had a great time with afternoon jam sessions, late-night zombie play throughs, and exploring the latest board game that David has purchased.
Hannah Smith

Hannah is Jake's oldest sister. Also a teacher, Hannah and Addie often compare their most hilarious kid stories and like to jam to 2000s R&B! On numerous occasions, Hannah has been able to visit Jake and Addie in Charlottesville to relive UVA shenanigans, like going to The Corner and football games. Hannah is also an excellent fish mom and is always baking something good for the holidays!
Liam Spiers

One of the friendliest people you can meet, Liam approached Jake for an empty seat at UVA orientation and the two quickly became great friends. Also in the Cavalier Marching Band, Liam and Jake bonded over marching band woes, general chemistry insanity, and late-night political discussions that always stayed civil. They thoroughly enjoyed living with each other at Lambeth second year at UVA and continue reminiscing about UVA and having meaningful conversations about all things in life.
Haley Hammond

Haley is Jake's older sister. Haley is a doctor and one of the most caring people out there, always asking about how things are going for both Addie and Jake! A new mom to her son, Cian, Addie and Jake have no doubts that she will thrive in motherhood with her calm and loving personality!
E Snyder
Groomsman
E is Addie's younger sibling. Jake and E have many things in common including a love for music and Spongebob. E and Jake played in jazz band, marching band, and rock band at E.C. Glass together, as well as in the pit orchestra (really a rock quintet) for the school musical production of Rent (where Jake met Addie)! E is an excellent bass guitarist and producer of many different music genres of tracks that can be found on Spotify (@e.flamingo), as well as a top-notch chef!
Arbor Cooksey

Arbor, aka Teeny Bear, is Addie's niece. She is six and quite possibly the tallest Kindergartener around! She loves sleepovers at Nana and Grandaddy's house, every single one of her stuffed animals, and playing outside.
Charlotte Hipskind
Flower Girl
Charlotte is Addie's niece. She is eight and in third grade. Charlotte has the most beautiful smile and curly hair! The leader of the pack, she protects her two younger siblings and loves dancing and playing with her dolls.
Oscar Hipskind
Ring Bearer
Oscar, aka Man-Man, is Addie's nephew. This six-year-old Kindergartener is the biggest teddy bear! He loves cars and trucks and showing off on his bike and scooter, but also shows his sweetness alongside his two sisters.
