6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Come in your comfies and with a jacket just in case.
This is the welcome dinner for primarily out-of-town family. Drinks are on us - remember to add it to the Taylor-Pfeil tab if you're ordering independently at the bar. Almanac is, of course, known for their beers, but they also serve local wines and nonalcoholic drinks. Copper Top Pizza, a delicious food truck that frequents Almanac, will be serving food that night. Pizzas are usually $10-15 and easily serve 2-3; they take cash and card. We'll be at picnic tables on the patio with heat lamps, but June in the Bay can sometimes bring 'June Gloom.' We'll hope for a lovely early summer evening, but just in case, dress in layers and bring a jacket! Can't wait to share great drinks, stellar pizza, and good times with y'all!
4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We'll start with the ceremony at 4pm, followed by cocktail hour with lawn games, dinner around 6, and dancing/entertainment to follow! Think glam lawn game vibes. Come in your Birkenstocks, or your pumps! Buffet contains vegetarian, vegan, low FODMAP, omnivore, and kid-friendly options. Please let us know of any allergies so we may note the buffet cards appropriately. Transportation: carpooling is advised given the windy roads and limited-ish parking. There are 75 spaces in the parking lot of the venue and alongside the road. If needed, there is more (free) parking a 5-10 minute walk down the road from the venue, across the street from the Tilden Regional Parks Botanical Garden. Cell service cuts out about a mile away from the venue for most folks, so get your google maps started early, or get out your paper maps! There is wifi at the venue, so getting a Lyft/Uber back home won't be an issue. Wifi: EBPARKSGUEST. Password: 12345
10:00 am
Come as you are, ready to lounge, play, eat, or hike.
There'll be picnic tables aplenty, but if you'd like, please bring your blankets, or camping chairs! We'll have enough bagels, schmear and coffee/tea for all. Thinking half hosted, half potluck, so if you're local and it feels easy, we welcome anything you'd like to bring. We'll bring plates/silverware/cups/napkins etc, but if serving utensils are required for your dish, please bring. The location is near many hiking trails, and we'll plan to laze/hike/continue lawn games as we all please. Parking sometimes costs $5 at the little guard house at the entrance (cash only). If it's manned, stop and pay. If it's not, fly on by and find parking! Alternatively, in a 5-10 minute walking distance there is free parking along Skyline Blvd just outside the gates to the parking lot. Bay Vista picnic area is to the right up the hill from the baseball diamond, which is at the end of the parking lot furthest from the entrance. There are bathrooms and potable water at the site, and both sun and shade.
