While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Please note that we do not want this preference to restrict you from joining us, especially those who are traveling from afar. We are happy to make it work for everyone, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us: Abby- snyder.lynn.abi@gmail.com, Colin- csymmscott@gmail.com
We love animals, but we ask that you please leave your pup at home for our wedding.
Our ceremony and reception will take place outside in a rustic, mountain top setting. We welcome our guests to wear whatever will be most comfortable for an evening of wildflower picking and western swing dancing! It’s encouraged to ditch the stilettos, don a dab of sunscreen, and bring a layer as temperatures will drop once the sun goes down.
Summer is the best time of year to visit Brian Head! The average high temperature in July is 71 degrees and the low is 43 degrees. However, if you dip down into one of the canyons summer temperatures can be in the upper 90's.
1.) Give your body time to adjust by checking out the sights at lower altitudes- see the "Things to Do" section of our website. 2.) If feasible, consider arriving at Brian Head a few days before the wedding to allow your body to acclimatize and explore some of the surrounding national parks. 3.) Hydrate. 4.) Keep your activities at a moderate level. 5.) Get enough sleep. One of the symptoms of altitude sickness is insomnia, so it can be hard to get enough rest, however, taking melatonin or Tylenol PM can do wonders. 6.) Limit your alcohol intake. Alcohol hits a lot harder when you’re trying to acclimatize, so the best thing you can do is take it easy. 7.) Protect yourself from the sun. 8.) Increase your potassium levels by consuming potassium-rich foods.
