Flight

MIA or FLL

Most Economical: 1) Choose a flight that gets you to MIA or FLL. 2) Rent a car for 1 day---your pick up location will be the airport you fly into. Your drop off location will be Key West Airport (EYW). 3) Drive from the airport to Key West. (MIA to KW is 3 hours. FLL to KW is 3.5 hours. It's a gorgeous drive, so it's not as bad as it sounds!) Keep the car to drive around to see the island if you'd like, but be sure to return it to EYW Airport within 24 hours so that you are only charged for one day. (Shop around for rentals! We typically pay between $50 and $60 for a rental for one day.) Less Economical, More Convenient: Choose a flight with a connection; Typically, you'll fly into FLL or MIA and take a puddle jumper; If you choose a flight with a connection in ATL, you'll be on a bigger plane flying into EYW. Least Economical/Most Convenient: Take a Non-Stop flight from EWR to EYW

This is where we will be staying--it's gorgeous, but a more expensive option. The ceremony and cocktail hour will also be held here. A discounted Room Block is available through the link below or you can call 1-800-354-4455 (just mention Cindy Dugan and Dan Greco). PLEASE NOTE: We've gotten the Resort Fees waived for everyone, so please make sure you are not charged for them upon checking out. Also, other smaller room options are available directly through their website, so feel free to check there---we've only included a few room types as a part of our block. The hotel is comprised of several buildings----all of which have pools. The nicest buildings & pool are located on the beachside. If you prefer to stay here, make sure your room type says, "Partial Ocean View" or "Ocean View." We'll see you at the pool!!!!

Key West Hideaways

We've rented various properties through this company and we've never been disappointed! You'll find anything from quaint bungalows to larger homes with private swimming pools (perfect for sharing with friends). If you are interested in going this route, let me know and I can give you more info.

Travel Note

Getting Around Key West

There is no need for a car in Key West! Your best bet is to use Uber or call a cab if you prefer not to walk. If you do need wheels, renting a golf cart, scooter, or bike is a great way to get around!

There are tons of hotels on the island at all different price points. Most websites refer to hotel locations in "Old Town" (near Duval Street, where the action is) or "New Town" (the highway with chain hotels and fast food restaurants). For convenience: Stay in Old Town and within walking distance of Duval Street. The nightlife is on the end of Duval that is closer to Mallory Square. The quieter end of Duval is down by Southernmost Point (which is where our hotel is). It's a 10 minute walk from one end of Duval to the other. For less expensive options: Stay in New Town, but be sure your hotel provides a shuttle to Old Town. Many hotels are on Roosevelt Blvd.---the highway with fast food places, a supermarket, etc.

Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel

This is an option if you prefer to stay on the other side of the island in "New Town." You will have to take a shuttle (provided by the hotel) to get to Duval, but the pool and beach area here are fantastic. There are NO resort fees associated with this property and this hotel also provides a complimentary airport shuttle for those flying in/out of Key West.
