So it’s Friday night, and they’re celebrating their anniversary over a romantic dinner with plans to watch the Knights Baseball fireworks from their balcony afterwards, recreating the night Jason asked Lauren to date him. After dinner Jason told Lauren plans had changed – they would watch the fireworks from the Kimpton balcony where friends were doing a staycation. When they got to the room where their friends were supposedly staying, there was a rose on the door, and Jason used a room key to open it… Lauren realized, “WE were doing the staycation!” Inside the room there were dozens of roses and petals all over! And there was a scrapbook was filled with photos of their travels over the years with an accompanying story that brought tears to Lauren’s eyes. They popped open champagne and moved to the balcony for the fireworks. As the fireworks started, Jason pointed Lauren’s attention to the jumbotron on the outside of the stadium – it was running a slideshow of the photos from the scrapbook he’d just given Lauren!!! Lauren was completely shocked! “This is A LOT for an anniversary!” she said. In that moment Lauren wondered whether Jason was actually going to propose… would the slideshow end with “Will you marry me?” She watched intently. The last slide came and it said, “I love you Lauren Voler.” Sigh… Lauren remembered Jason said he wasn’t planning to propose. She turned around to hug Jason and thank him for the most incredible and elaborate anniversary gift she’d ever experienced. And then, it happened!!! Jason got down on a knee and asked Lauren to make him the happiest man in the world. “YESSSS!” Lauren managed to say through an outburst of tears. The rest is a joyful blur. They dried tears and went upstairs to the hotel’s rooftop bar where dozens of friends were waiting to surprise and celebrate them. The night was perfect! Lauren and Jason are so excited for the rest of their lives together and to kick it off with friends and family. 08-08-2020, here we come!

She went to the cookout hoping to meet neighbors and make new friends. Jason was there, and immediately caught Lauren’s attention. After several months of bumping into each other around Catalyst and in social settings with their mutual friend group, they decided to start hanging out on purpose. The rest is history!

Lauren surprised Jason with a private tour of RK Motors, a classic and exotic car showroom in Charlotte, NC. Jason surprised Lauren with a driving experience where they drove hot laps in Ferraris and Lamborghinis. That’s when they discovered they both had a love for awesome cars and memorable experiences! Vroom vroom!

Lauren and Jason’s first trip together was to Toronto and Niagara Falls, Canada. They love traveling, crossing borders, collecting experiences, and doing it all together!
