About this venue

West River House is an homage to a Vermont covered bridge and houses an art collection to create a museum-like experience with breathtaking views over Lake Dunlap. A dining area under the covered bridge has 25-foot high ceilings and provides a Harry Potter feel with interiors of the bridge designed using original barn wood. Pass to the lake side of the house and there is floor-to-ceiling glass, balconies, patios, and vestiges of Mid-century Modern masterpieces. The venue features four luxurious suites on massive balconies, two kitchens to make any chef jealous and a spectacular sound system in virtually every room. A new 4100 sq ft patio cantilevers over the edge of the lake with a 40’x40’ tent included in the deal for celebrations and dining lakeside. Access to a 100’ dock brings your celebration to the water for boating, kayaking and fishing.

This space features a large area under a tent with patio wings in three directions that provide additional space under the cypress and pecan trees. There is ample room for bars, dance floors, band and DJ spaces as well as room for special entertainment offerings.

Garden in Front of Bridge

With a direct entrance from the front of the venue, guests pass through a planted gateway into a perennial garden with a 40’x45’ lawn. Intimate with a feast of color and textures from plantings that are gradually enclosing the courtyard, it’s a great place to welcome guests to the surprises that await inside the venue and lakeside to the rear.
