As New Mexico’s premier venue, The Stakeout offers a reprieve from modern life and serves as an iconic location for ceremonies and celebrations. Perched atop Outlaw Hill at 7,200 feet, we provide an intimate setting with breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Gorge and Taos. Here, you’ll be surrounded by the same mesas and Sangre de Cristo Mountains that inspired the heart and imagination of Georgia O’Keeffe.

The Stakeout is Northern New Mexico's top wedding venue, with adobe arches, outdoor patios, chimeneas, and scenic views of sage and piñons.

Our main gathering space pays homage to the salon-style gatherings of trailblazer artist and Taos icon, Mabel Dodge Luhan. Enjoy floor-to-ceiling million dollar views of the sunset over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, featuring bespoke touches like imported vintage Spanish tile and modern Taos art. What an incredible venue!!

As a full-time wedding photographer, I work with venues all over the southwest and around the country. My experience with the Siouxzen and the team there was top-notch! Not only does the venue provide an incredibly unique southwestern vibe with gorgeous white stucco, wood beams on the ceiling, traditional adobe fireplace, and antique-feeling furniture throughout. The staff from the bartenders to the banquet team and coordinators of course were so willing to serve and assist the entire day. And don't even get me started on the views there. Sheesh. If you're looking for a boutique southwestern venue for your elevated event you'd look no further! Much love for this place and its staff.

I say it all the time - the Stakeout is hands down my favorite wedding venue in New Mexico! I love the beautiful, understated southwest vibes of the space, and of course the incredible 360 degree views from Outlaw Hill. I've shot over 10 weddings here to date, and each time am so impressed with the way that the incredible staff always go above and beyond for clients, guests, and vendors. Each wedding I shoot here has an intimate and joyous atmosphere that only gets richer and more sweet as the sun sets and the group bears witness to the always breathtaking sunset together. I am always excited to shoot in this special place, and to recommend the Stakeout to my clients!

The Stakeout is an incredible venue! It is gorgeous and the views are awesome. The food by Chef Angelle-Leigh was truly amazing and they were so accommodating to my mother in law who is disabled and to my wedding guests who have dietary restrictions. The staff is very professional and attentive. Our wedding was a destination and it was difficult to coordinate everything from so far away but Siouxzen helped us to stay organized and to deal with all the last minute snafus that inevitably happen when you plan a big event.

No, we do not allow clients to bring their own alcohol to events held at our venue. This policy is in place due to liability concerns. Our startup rental fee includes: Venue Access: Exclusive use of our event spaces for the rental period. Setup and Cleanup: Assistance with setting up and post-event cleanup. Tables and Chairs: Provided for your guests. Standard Linens: Basic table linens. On-site Staff: Support from our event staff, including venue manager and an event coordinator. Parking: Complimentary parking spaces. Additional services like catering, décor, specialty lighting, and audio-visual equipment are available for an extra fee. Please contact us for a detailed list of add-ons and to discuss any specific requirements.

Your reservation includes 12 hours from start to finish, covering setup and post-event cleanup. Additional time will be billed at $600 per hour.
