I have always loved the outdoors. You can find me hiking mountain passes, rock climbing, planning another trip to Mexico, nose buried in some travel guides, looking up cheap flights to Australia, or off on some crazy 3 week long road trip to the Canadian Rockies with my cousins. I will help guide you through the entire process of planning an amazing experience.     We had the absolute pleasure of working with Malachi from Shellcreek Photo for our wedding, and we can’t recommend him enough! From the very first meet and greet, he was incredibly professional, taking the time to ask us about what we wanted for our wedding day. His dedication to capturing our wedding was exactly as we imagined was evident throughout the entire process. As someone who had never had professional photos taken before, I was quite nervous about being in front of the camera. However, Malachi put both me and my husband at ease throughout the day. His calm and reassuring presence made us feel so comfortable, and it felt like we were simply enjoying the moment rather than posing for photos. On top of that, Malachi has an incredible eye for detail and a knack for finding unique, off-grid locations that made our photos feel so special and personalized. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion shines through in every photo he takes. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and the beautiful photos we received!

    We feel so lucky to have experienced working with Malachi not once, but twice. We met Malachi in March of 2023 at Arches National Park where my now husband and him worked together to plan and execute the perfect surprise proposal underneath Delicate Arch. Malachi was not only willing but more than happy to be waiting up near the Arch before sunrise so that our proposal could take place when the sun came up. Four months later we sent Malachi a message saying we wanted to elope somewhere magical. Malachi quickly came up with location ideas and we chose Grand Teton National Park where we met just a few weeks later. Malachi has remarkable knowledge about so many locations and he even planned out our entire evening for sunset elopement photos. From meeting us at our hotel, to driving to each location that he hand picked for us, to bringing props, to giving us recommendations for flowers, food and more, he made our day feel so effortless, fun and even better than we could have imagined. Nothing felt forced and we were just able to be completely ourselves and Malachi captured the love we have for one another perfectly. We receive endless compliments on our photographs and how they truly are magazine worthy. Malachi is fun, calm, professional, patient, adventurous, knowledgable and so many more things. We truly could not recommend a photographer more to give you photos that capture moments that turn into memories for a lifetime.

    Working with Malachi from the beginning was incredibly effortless and easy-going. From the moment we met him via zoom it was evident that he was the perfect fit to capture our special day – there was no need to search any further! Our elopement plan was for Arches National Park in October 2023, and once revealing that to Malachi we could see his professionalism, experience, and drive begin to kick in. He was knowledgeable about the area and was able to point us in the right direction, offering invaluable insights and helping us align our vision with the perfect locations. When we met in person on our big day, Malachi adapted seamlessly to our laid-back approach, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the moment while choreographing our movements without being pushy, or demanding. The day unfolded flawlessly and it was due to his calm demeanor, genuine personality, and unparalleled expertise with his craft (which you could tell he was serious and in love with). Endless compliments from our family and friends poured in raving about our magazine-worthy photographs.     Malachi made our elopement absolutely awesome! He was recommended to us by a photographer friend, and when we met with him online and found out he was a bird person just like us, we knew he was perfect to photograph us. His work obviously speaks for itself; look through any of his photos online and you'll see he is a master of his craft. The other aspects of an adventure wedding with Malachi are that he makes you feel comfortable, can find beautiful locations to take you, and has every piece of gear you may need available in his truck and all you need to do is get married! We met Malachi 2 weeks before our spontaneous elopement. We wanted to catch the aspens while they were still yellow so we had to move quickly and he was up for the challenge! He scouted out various locations that we might be interested in (aspens, lakes, mountain overlooks, etc.) and we narrowed down the sites we would visit 1 week before. With that said, definitely go with the full-day elopement option! It reduces stress because you don't need to stay on a tight schedule and allows you to visit a few locations for photos. We didn't really have any specific requests for our elopement besides seeing the aspens and gorgeous nature so Malachi just offered up some great ideas and we went with those. He made the whole process super simple and stress-free for 2 very indecisive people. The day of our elopement we had some rainy weather that would make hiking less than ideal because clouds would block some mountain views. He showed up at our lodge and offered to rearrange our order of locations so that we could still catch some clear skies. It was nice to not worry about sticking to a schedule and just do what worked for us. Malachi brought one of his super fun birds on the trip too!!! The trail we hiked up to our ceremony was perfect. It was a beautiful forest with aspen glens that we got changed in, and only saw 2 people right when we parked. The rest of the day, we had the trail all to ourselves. Malachi took photos throughout the hike, and during and after our little ceremony. He did a wonderful job of directing 2 awkward and dorky people so that we looked natural and happy and less-than-awkward in all our photos. The photos turned out beautifully! Everything about the day was perfect. It was stress-free, fun, and the pictures captured our love for each other. Malachi was an amazing photographer/elopement planner for 2 easy-going people so we definitely recommend him for your adventure!
