Located in the heart of Durham, NC, The Cookery grounds expand over 12,000 square feet and can accommodate seated dinners and wedding ceremonies for up to 330 guests. Our unique space is a quintessential venue for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, community events, and more. The Cookery's expansive venue includes a ballroom, the Front Room, outdoor cobblestone garden, dressing suite, and courtyard, as well as a state of the art commercial food production facility and incubation program – the birthplace of many beloved Durham culinary ventures. Our team has years of experience helping clients bring their visions to life with a network of trusted vendors who bring passion and enthusiasm to every detail.

Our Front Room boasts 20 foot high ceilings, a beautiful bar and mezzanine. Perfect for gathering guests for cocktails before your meal in the ballroom, and for continuing the celebration on the dance floor after you dine. This 2,500 sq. ft. space is also ideal for smaller, more intimate events.

A grand ballroom for a divine dinner or a wonderful space to dance the night away.

The ballroom is the ideal dining space for 256 guests. This 5,000 sq. ft. space features original brick walls, vintage lighting, and large entrances to both the courtyard and our private garden.

Cobblestone Garden

A gorgeous space for a wedding ceremony or a lush green space for guests to mingle during cocktail hour.

Tucked away behind The Cookery is a lush cobblestoned garden. Space is available to seat up to 330 guests or provide a gorgeous area for a cocktail hour or reception leading from the main ballroom. The garden can be tented.
