About this venue

Built in 1871, and restored with love, our event center sits on one countryside acre, just minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. Whether hosting meetings or tea parties, weddings or showers, our intimate one-room schoolhouse is a treasure meant to be shared. The Bellflower is perfect for get togethers of all kinds. We’re hosting showers, intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners, graduation parties and family reunions, and even yoga classes and workshops this year. The best part is, this adventure has just begun. This historic school turned event space promises to take guests back in time. The event possibilities are endless from intimate weddings, showers, corporate events, fundraising efforts, birthday parties, anniversaries, graduation open houses and reunions.

    If you are looking for a venue to host your small event, look no further than The BellFlower!! Barb is amazingly helpful and wonderful to work with. Worried about cost? Don't be! Included in the rental is the ability to use Any and All items inside. Tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, glasses...Everything! I 100% recommend using The BellFlower for your next event.

    I have had the privilege of working with Barb from The Bellflower now on several styled shoots and a few events. She is so easy to work with. She is wonderful at returning messages and keeping on top of things and there is so much to offer at her Historic venue. The off-white interior has lots of windows with a lot of natural light and is amazing for pictures. She has decorated It with so many cute features. The little retro kitchen is so fun and she has many extra items included with the rental. I would say The Bellflower is absolutely charming!

    I am a licensed makeup artist and have done a couple bridal style shoots at the Bellflower. The owner is incredible. If she does not have an answer she will ALWAYS find one. I needed somewhere to do makeup trials at last minute and she has always been able to provide a space. The Bellflower has so much history and the owner has preserved that beautifully. This is more than just a venue it is a memory to last for a lifetime. Highly recommended the Bellflower!

    The Bellflower is truly a one-of-a-kind space. Instead of tearing down the historic schoolhouse from the 1800s, the owner embarked on a journey to restore it and give it new purpose. The venue now hosts a variety of events like pop-ups with local businesses, elopements & micro-weddings, and showers. The rates are extremely reasonable & they even have decor and furniture available for event use. Highly recommend!
