Yes. Alcohol must be served by a licensed OLCC bartending service who is NOT in your family or wedding party. An event liability insurance as well as a host liquor liability is required.

The Gardens parking lot can hold about 15-20 cars. Street parking is limited to the west (river) side of the street only. It is possible to arrange additional or overflow parking at Riverside Grade School on River Road by calling the NC12 School District office. Renter can arrange to shuttle guests to the Gardens. As with any public parking lot, park at your own risk. Within Risley Landing Gardens, there is no parking under the large Douglas fir tree or on the riverbank terrace. The driveway to the gazebo and landing is for pick-up and delivery only; cars must be moved afterwards to the parking area, street parking, or the overflow parking.

Some areas of the gardens are more accessible than others. Paths leading up to the existing restroom can be difficult for mobility. If guests with mobility issues will be in attendance, a porta-potty should be rented and placed in the parking lot. The paved path and gazebo are wheelchair accessible. Please take a tour to check for accessibility in the areas you wish to use, if you anticipate having guests with mobility issues.

Liability insurance with a coverage limit of $1,000,000 minimum is required for all groups using the Gardens. Contact your insurance carrier or an event liability insurer to help you with this. If you do not have a current insurance carrier, the Event Coordinator can refer you. If you are serving alcohol, you will also need Host Liquor Liability Insurance on your policy as well as be using an OLCC licensed caterer or bartending service.

Risley Landing Gardens is a raw space. Your rental fee includes rental of the space only and NOT any staff, catering or rentals (tents, tables, chairs, linen, dishware, etc); however this does leave you free to customize your special day.

Your reservation can be made for either a "Half Day" of six hours from start to finish, including the time it takes your wedding team to set up and clean up; or a "Full Day" of twelve hours from start to finish, including the time it takes your wedding team to set up and clean up.

If you cancel your event after confirming, but before 60 days prior to your event, the $500 reservation deposit is retained by Oak Grove Garden Club. If your event is cancelled 60 days or less prior to your event and after your full payment is received, there is no refund of the entire amount. The most commonly used airport will be PDX - Portland International Airport. It is a 45 minute - 1 hour drive or carshare to our Portland, Oregon garden wedding venue from PDX. Also note: We are 3 miles from the Park Place Orange Line MAX station, so renters may consider providing their guests with a shuttle from the MAX to the Gardens if most people are staying in downtown hotels with access to MAX. No pets, leashed or carried, are allowed. Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are allowed. Please pick up after your animal; any damage or waste left behind will result in the loss of your security deposit.
