About this venue

A site rich in Detroit’s automotive history. Established in 1927 by The Packard Motor Car Company, this unique site hosts multiple Albert Kahn designed buildings, located on 17 acres. It’s a lovely venue for weddings, car shows, plus corporate & social events. We have indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies. The tree lined boulevard is a nice outdoor option, but there are lots of choices on our 17 acres site.

The Lodge Garage

The Lodge Garage measures about 1,600 sq ft and features old fashioned garage doors. It can serve as an indoor location for wedding ceremonies, and accommodates about 225 in a theater style set up. This building also works well for a cocktail reception, a small intimate wedding dinner, engagement party, bridal showers and more.

The Repair Garage

The Repair Garage is usually the first choice for receptions. It has about 6,400 sq ft of space and can accommodate up to 296 guests for a seated meal. This building can also work for smaller groups with plenty of space for including some classic Packards as static displays.

The Lodge Garage

    The Packard Proving Grounds was a fantastic choice for our wedding venue. From our very first interaction, the staff was incredibly responsive and made the booking process fast and easy. On the day of the wedding, the large, open space provided a versatile canvas for us to bring our vision to life. The PPG staff was super helpful in ensuring everything ran smoothly and our guests raved about the unique industrial-chic atmosphere. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our special day.
