There is only one wedding per day.

How many guests can Oheka accommodate for an event?

Accepted Answer

400 guests for a sit-down dinner (tables of 12) with music & dancing can be accommodated comfortably in the Terrace Room.

Are we able to have the ceremony at the estate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you are having your reception at OHEKA. If the weather permits then the ceremony can be held outside in the Formal Gardens. If there is inclement weather the ceremony will be moved indoors.

Why is there a rental fee?

The rental fee reserves designated areas of the estate for exclusive use and enables the estate to host only one wedding a day.

How often do you have appointments available?

Accepted Answer

We are here seven days a week. Times of appointments vary from day to day and are based on availability. Please keep in mind that weekend appointments book fast and there is a waiting list every weekend. Therefore, if you need to cancel your appointment we ask that you call to reschedule so that someone else may be able to see the estate.

What if we want to change or add something to the menu?

Accepted Answer

You may speak with our Executive Chef to discuss your changes or additions. Some changes & upgrades may require an additional fee. You will be notified of any additional fees in writing.

What if I need special meals at the event such as kosher, vegetarian or I have a guest with dietary needs?

Accepted Answer

That is not a problem. Just inform your Banquet Manager of your needs when you are planning your menu.

Is the wedding cake included?

Accepted Answer

Yes, wedding cakes from our Classic Elegance Collection Book are included. You may also upgrade your wedding cake by meeting with our Executive Pastry Chef to create a custom design or simply choose from our Sculpted Dreams Collection Book. Upgrade charges apply.

Can I use a florist and music company that is not a house vendor at Oheka or that is not on the approved vendor list at Oheka?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but they must get approved to work at OHEKA for your event and they must meet all the insurance requirements. There will also be a $500 approval fee.

Can we use candles?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but all candles must be enclosed and have something underneath them to catch the wax. There are some restricted areas. Please refer to your contract for details.

Are there overnight accommodations at the estate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Hotel at OHEKA has 32 guestrooms and suites situated on the upper floors of the estate. All guestrooms and suites include a continental breakfast the next morning from 8:30 am until 10:30 am. Buyouts and special group rates of 10 or more are also available. Buyout rates for all the guestrooms and suites range from $8,000-$12,000.

What time can my guests check into their rooms?

Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is at 11:00 a.m. the next morning.

If the guestroom or suite is available an early check-in and a late check-out may be possible. Additional fees may apply.

Is there an overnight room included for the bride and groom?

Yes, a bridal suite is included for the bride and groom the night of the wedding at OHEKA.

Is there a room for the bride and groom to get ready in?

Yes, in addition to a bridal suite another room will be available to get ready in the day of the wedding.

Yes, there is an attendant for the bride and the groom.

Can I upgrade to a hot buffet breakfast?

Yes. The fee to upgrade to our Platinum Breakfast is $35.00 + service + tax per person.

Can I invite my guests that did not stay overnight at Oheka castle to breakfast the next morning?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but we do require a minimum guaranteed guest count 10 days prior and there is a per person fee to be paid that morning. The price is $25.00 + service + tax per guest for continental breakfast and $35.00 + service + tax per person for a hot buffet breakfast.

Can buses drive up to the estate?

Yes, but they must arrive through the entrance at East Gate Drive. See Directions for Buses.

Are pets permitted at Oheka castle?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but they must be kept in a cage in the guestrooms and on a leash when being walked in an area designated by OHEKA. There is a cleaning fee of $200.00. Unfortunately, pets cannot be on the main floor where food is served. Other fees and restrictions apply. An agreement must be signed prior to the day of the event which can be obtained at the front desk.

Yes. There are on-site wheelchairs, an elevator, and handicap restrooms as well as a handicap friendly guestroom.
