Well, being married to my best friend and soul mate, father to three of the most beautiful, strong, and wicked smaht women evah is how I spend my off days. Married for almost 20 years and the kiddies all grown up the wife and I love traveling, enjoying good rye, always on the hunt for the best old fashioned, and being vegans. My goals in life currently is to travel the country in a van with our little dog winter a.k.a “my buddy” and enjoy the little things just in every state possible!

    Choosing Redwood & Rye as our photographers was one of the best wedding decisions we made. The entire process was stress-free and seamless with them - from our first intro call all the way through to finalizing our album. Gary, Lisa & Jamie are not only incredibly talented, they're also genuinely awesome people (which is important for someone who's spending so much time with you on your wedding day!). We were absolutely blown away by both our engagement photos & wedding photos (Gary even hustled to get our wedding photos to us in advance of Thanksgiving so we could look at them in-person with family). They have a way of bottling genuine emotion with their photos - every time we look at them, we're taken right back to how we felt on that magical day. We would recommend Redwood & Rye without hesitation, they are amazing.

    We have had the pleasure of working with Redwood Rye Studios a number of times at a variety of private events, and the warmth, care, and artistry that is poured into their work truly stands out against the backdrop of dozens of other professionals that we've worked with. They take special care to make sure their clients/couples feel heard as far as their vision is concerned; they gently prompt folks (who may have little to no experienced being photographed) to get comfortable in front of a camera to ensure photos feel natural; they also add a personal touch of friendship which is formed quickly but earnestly, with everyone. And on top of all that, their photos are absolutely beautiful, ranging from dramatic to quirky to intimate and everything in between. They rise above the "sameness" that you might notice from browsing dozens of other photographers by choosing unique, visionary ways to capture their couples. In my experience from browsing their shots of our shared events, my eyes tend to float around their photos, noticing different interesting elements of light and dark, foreground, background, and the subject itself. Of course, they'll nail all the standard poses as well, and beautifully at that, but you'll also be left with some stunning once in a lifetime shots that you'll treasure for ever. On top of all this, we know of a number number of folks who have worked with Redwood and Rye's team on a professional basis who have gone on to stay close friends on a personal basis. This is all just a testament to their approach and energy. They are true gems in the photography world -- do not hesitate to start a conversation with them about your plans!!!!
