Hi! My name is Katie, and I'm a one-woman photographer team. I've been capturing weddings for over 12 years, and my goal has always been to provide luxury quality at affordable prices. My style is a mix: fine art when capturing details and posed portraits; photojournalistic when capturing candid moments throughout the day. I emphasize natural light, true colors, clean compositions, comfortable posing, and authentic moments. When I'm not taking pictures, you can find me homeschooling my two awesome kids, teaching speech & debate, reading obsessively, and watching Lord of the Rings on repeat :)

Because I do not use a second photographer, travel, or outsource editing, I'm able to provide a high quality service at lower prices. As a bride who was once on a small budget, I know what it's like to want beautiful photos from high-end photographers, without being able afford the prices in the wedding industry today. I work hard to make sure my prices are fair and reasonable, without the "wedding tax"! But just because you pay less, doesn't mean you get less: you'll receive over 1,000 photos of all the important parts of your day, captured beautifully in a fine art or photojournalistic style, and edited individually for perfection.

    From the moment we booked Katie for our wedding, her communication was clear, timely, and backed up with a clearly written contract and follow-up texts. She was exceptionally kind to us, asked great questions ahead of time to help us figure out what we wanted and wanted to prioritize. On the day of, she expertly navigated our changing needs, like accommodating tiny kids’ timelines. She was also exceptionally kind to take photos at the family farm in addition to the church, for some more scenery. Her work is truly natural, elegant, lifelike, and absolutely beautiful - we were thrilled with the final photos that captured all the special moments of our day, including our first look at the altar. Neither my husband or I enjoy having our picture taken much at all, but Katie did a phenomenal job putting us at ease, giving us clear and concise posing direction, and capturing us looking our best in our happiest moments. Katie was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them to any couple looking for a talented, professional photography team to help make their wedding day perfect. I have recommended her to all of my engaged friends without hesitation, and would recommend her to you too!

    Katie photographed our December wedding and captured the day beautifully. It was so amazing to get to look at all of the pictures and relive the moments. The photos are beautifully done. She is amazing at making everyone feel comfortable so that you can get gorgeous natural looking photos! She gave us so many memories that we will cherish forever!! She is the best photographer I have ever met and we were so blessed to have her photograph our wedding!

    This review is a bit delayed, but I wanted to make sure I took the time to express how much I loved having Katie as my wedding photographer. Katie did a pre-wedding photo session with me and my husband in April, and our wedding in September. I was so happy with the results from both! We had a small enough wedding that we didn't feel the need for a second photographer. Katie got so may beautiful shots and managed to capture so many special moments for being the only photographer on site! I was so impressed with all of the photos. I am still looking through them and finding new favorites! Katie even took the time during the busy holiday season to edit a couple of pictures I was excited to print and hang up, and the edits also came out beautifully. I know that we will be reaching out to Katie again to capture more special moments as our lives progress and our new family grows! Katie, thank you so much for beautifully capturing out memories!

    My wife and I worked with Katie for our small wedding in Middleburg VA. Katie was THE BEST to work with. Katie arrived early and got started taking photos of the groom and the best man. Katie was able to ease any jitters before the wedding with her easy going and friendly personality. Next she took photos of the bride and the maid of honour before moving onto group photos. Katie captured all the emotions during our wedding ceremony before moving onto family photos and cocktail hour. Throughout the wedding, Katie was able to capture all of the important moments! The best part was how Katie was able to take the cutest photos of the bride, groom and also our golden retriever (who had plenty of energy!) who made an appearance for part of the evening. Those photos turned out great! (& even made our Christmas cards!) Katie took excellent photos. The photos came out crystal clear and were very high quality. Would highly recommend Katie and would work with her again!
