I'm east coast born & raised, but a loyal Seattle convert since 2014. I love trash reality tv. I teach aerial yoga once a week. I'm usually craving fries. I'll never turn down a margarita (except while I'm on the clock at your wedding!). I lead student trips abroad with National Geographic. I think there's no better way to spend a summer day than in the sun and on a paddle board. And I think that your wedding should be exactly how you and your partner want it to be.     Kate Miller is not only a lovely human being, but she is also a heck of a photographer. Prior to becoming a wedding planner, Kate was my go to photographer for everything. She made me feel comfortable in front of the camera in all kinds of settings so it felt natural to ask her to photograph my wedding, too. Her approach was thoughtful, complete, and easy. She gave just enough direction to make us feel supported, but not so much that she interrupted the flow and ease of the day. The photos turned out fantastic and feel true to what the day looked like in real life, which is something my husband and I deeply value. We didn't want our photos to look like a filtered or stylized version of our memories; we wanted a beautiful and complete collection of the joy on that day, just as it was. As a now wedding planner, Kate Miller is my top recommendation to my close personal friends who get married. I know that the experience she provides is stellar from start to finish and that there is no one better to take care of my loved ones.

    My fiancé and I worked with Kate for our engagement pictures and couldn’t be happier. We were both hesitant to do engagement pictures but Kate made it so easy. Communication and setting up a time and location were a breeze. She suggested we pick locations that were meaningful to us. We went with two of our favorite spots in our neighborhood (Ballard locks and the Farmers’s Market) with the hopes of capturing some of the gorgeous fall colors and all the water in the area. Kate heard us and delivered! Most importantly, she took two awkward subjects, who aren’t crazy about being the focus of attention, and made us look good! She gave just the right amount of direction so we weren’t flailing which allowed us to relax. The pictures really captured “us” as well as all the colors and background we had talked about. Exactly what we wanted! Thank you, Kate. Next up, family pictures with our fur baby. :)
