Julia

I’ve been Julia the Photographer for over half my life, and Julia the Wedding Photographer for a nearly a decade. I've been a part of over 200 wedding days, and it just never gets old. Firm believer that love looks good on everyone. I want to know you and what matters most, so your photos from your day reflect that. I married my husband Jordan in the mountains, young. We welcomed our son Sebastian in January 2022, and have two pups, Disco and Rowan. I love finding magic in the ordinary, the beach at night, cute video games and silly teen drama tv shows. Trying to be a walking sparkle!

Connection is key! I’ll always try to meet you outside of just words on a screen before booking so we can know if it’s there. Being brought in to your best days is an honor and a privilege that I don’t take lightly. I will smile like a fool editing through your entire session. I will champion your love, your marriage, your family. I used to think my job was to find beauty, capture it, shine it up. Sure, that’s part of it. But when you’re open and honest and giving freely of your love, the beauty in that is bold faced and glaring, there is no hunting it down. I ask for your trust and honesty, and promise to treat it well.

    I can't say enough about how sweet, warm, professional, kind and talented Julia is. From our very first meeting, she felt more like a friend than a vendor. She had great ideas for how to work within our budget and still fulfill the must-haves on our photo wish list. She was willing (and excited!) to change things up super last-minute for our engagement photos and create a beautiful, unique shoot in our own backyard and neighborhood. Her photos of our wedding day are so full of love, life and light. She made our friends and family so comfortable that even the more traditional posed family shots are playful, relaxed and fun. Absolutely everyone shines in front of her lens.

She works together with you to make sure she grabs what you want her to grab and she even provides a handy timeline of the day (which for us was so important given all the moments we wanted to capture.)
