Purple Thistle Films is a women-owned film company based in Asheville and Rhode Island, and open to travel. I would consider it a privilege to capture the story of you and your circle of people, all together for this one incredible day.

I filmed my first wedding the summer of 2005. From the world of documentary making, I know that a cameraperson cannot disappear – there is no becoming a ‘fly on the wall.’ Instead, filming people is about relationships. It’s about feeling comfortable and even joyful with my being there with my camera, you in all your beauty, exactly as you are.

    Amanda worked with us way before the wedding date on our plan and preferences, we were not easy to work with bedside we were stressssssssed out, but Amanda was patient and confident and that relaxed us. The photos are incredible , she has a special eye!
