I photograph real people in natural light and gorgeous settings, throughout Sonoma & Napa Wine Country, the Bay Area, and beyond. Using humor, connection, and my calm & warm energy, I work with a wide variety of people from all backgrounds and perspectives (even/ especially camera shy folks!). I gently guide couples through very natural moments together, to capture their individual and collective personalities, in the most beautiful, & honest, way possible.

No awkward posing, no overly styled vignettes, no trend-chasing photoshop actions, filters or presets. Just the full range of emotions and moments that come with celebrating being in love!  With over 15 years of experience shooting hundreds weddings and portraits, I come to each one both prepared for anything, and ready to be surprised & spontaneous. I love capturing timeless, colorful, quirky & loving images of people. Each year, I shoot a limited number of weddings (as well as lots of portraits, commercial work, and personal work), so despite my vast experience, I bring fresh eyes and a caring, individual approach to your unique wedding.

    You know how there are some people who you just get SO excited to work with whenever the chance comes up? Jessamyn is one of those very special people. We've known Jessamyn since 2008 when she did our engagement photos, followed by our wedding in 2009, and we've had the pleasure of working together numerous times since, including two maternity shoots, two newborn shoots and a family photo shoot in fall 2019. Jessamyn is a pro at making you immediately feel at ease in these very intimate moments in your life, whether it's your wedding day or your early (very sleep-deprived) days of parenthood. And because of this, it shows in the beautiful moments she organically captures in her work. We also love how creative she is - Jessamyn is always eager to brainstorm ideas for photo sessions over email and is great at riffing off of something that randomly happens during a shoot. Run, don't walk to hire Jessamyn - we're eternally grateful for all of the gorgeous photos she's captured of our family over the years that we have the joy of looking at every day along our staircase and throughout our home.

    We loved working with Jessamyn for both our engagement photos and our wedding day. Jessamyn has a great spirit and brought a lot to the table - she is both calm and excited, professional and fun, creative and organized. It felt like an old friend was taking our picture which helped make us more comfortable. Our photos turned out absolutely beautiful. She really captured the energy and beauty of our wedding. I'm having trouble deciding which ones to print because we love them all! We look forward to working with Jessamyn for other milestones down the road - new born baby pictures, family photos, etc. My family loved my wedding photos so much my sister booked Jessamyn for her wedding as well.

    Jessamyn is one of my favorite photographers in the Bay Area! Being a wedding planner, I get to work with many different photographers all of the time. Sure - there are many talented photographers in the area for clients to choose from (Jessamyn being one of them). It's obvious by looking at her portfolio that she takes beautiful photographs but what you can't see online is how easy Jessamyn is to work with. When clients ask for advice on hiring a photographer, I always say that it's important that you choose a photographer who you are comfortable with. If you are uncomfortable, it will show in your photos. Jessamyn is extremely laid back in a good way. She goes with the flow and is a joy to work with. Her positive attitude and flexibility is truly what sets her apart from the many talented photographers in our area. I can't recommend Jessamyn enough!
