In all facets of my work, I always strive to tell a story. For weddings, that means telling not only the story of an event - but one of two people who’ve spent countless hours together. Your photos should be a direct reflection of your relationship - timeless, emotional, and authentic. I believe in keeping things simple and work in a way that allows you to appreciate your day and its details, while I capture everything in a modern journalistic style. I want you to be able to relive the moments of your wedding, both seen and unseen, with your photos. Photography isn’t just my career, it’s my life, and I can’t wait to make it part of yours.

My wedding photography has been featured on (personal information protected by Zola) and has been published in Together Journal magazine, as well as other publications online and in-print. In 2020, my photography was nominated and selected for a Rangefinder Rising Star Award, one of the highest honors in the Wedding Photography Industry.

Josh is the full package! You don't need to worry about a thing with him, he just gets it. He can tell what you value and care about and knows exactly how to capture the moment. He's cool calm and collected, and helps to guide you without making your day feel like a goofy photoshoot. On the lead up to your day, you can expect direct and clear communication. Photos arrived exactly on schedule. Expect lots of compliments from anyone who sees your photos!

I have worked with Josh on weddings a few times. He has a creative eye and wonderful way of seeing light. His images are beautiful and meaningful. One thing that's great about him is he just blends in and takes a documentary approach.

Book Josh Olson for your wedding and book an engagement session while you’re at it. If I could get married again just to work with Josh I would. My husband and I can get a little stiff in front of the camera and Josh puts everyone at ease. He is artful and creative. He sees things others do not and it is a joy to see the result! Portraits are stunning and his photojournalist style for candids are breathtaking. Note: your photographer is kind of like the director for much of your wedding day. I didn’t know this until Josh lead us through from pre-ceremony photos through the entire night with gentle confidence and professionalism and humor.

Josh was, in every conceivable way, an absolute dream to work with. His work speaks for itself, so be sure to check his website and gallery, but let me assure that those really important things you can't see are all perfect as well. He gives amazing direction and was really patient with my wife and I who aren't exactly professional models. He was also super friendly and personable, which was such an important factor I hadn't really considered in a photographer. You'll be spending almost as much time with them as you will with your spouse on your wedding day, and I can't think of anyone I would rather have had with us goofing, chatting, and documenting our day. He was also very conscious of all the challenges a COVID wedding presented, even with our guest list being VERY small and really helped ease my nerves about it coming in to the day. He worked with us super closely to make sure everything was safe and that we got everything we needed despite this insane year. If you are considering hiring Josh for your wedding, don't hesitate. I promise you will not be disappointed.
