Q: How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

I've had couples book me two years in advance, and I've also been asked to capture a wedding the same day. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Q: Will you edit all our pictures?

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they reflect my best work. I do not deliver any images in RAW format unless discussed previously.

Q: How many pictures will we get?

You can expect about 75 edited images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.

Q: What’s your back-up plan if you can’t photograph our wedding as planned?

In my experience as a professional photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.

Q: Do you provide a shot list?

YES! I have a very detailed shot list to try and make the planning process as stress free as possible for you. This helps customize your wedding day and ensures I capture all of the special moments that mean the most to you & then some! I'm always open to any ideas / wants my clients have to make the memories as traditional or unique as they'd like!

Q: What if we're not interested in any of the packages on your page?

No worries at all - I can build custom pricing / packaging to accommodate you! Please reach out to me so we can chat details and find out what works best for you!

Q: Do you service my area?

I service up to a 65 mile radius from downtown San Antonio Texas. I do offer my services all over Texas and I charge a fair rate to cover travel and accommodations depending on where your event is. I honor the IRS standard travel rates for businesses at $.655 / mi. Any events that require an overnight accommodation will also include a rate for a nearby hotel.

Photography quickly became my passion when I was in search of finding something that truly makes me feel like I have a purpose. I grew tired of the ritual of ‘work’ and dug deep to search for something that showcases my compassion and empathetic connection with others. My way of giving back to the community is: Every year I plan to donate 100% of proceeds from images purchased through my online galleries to a local charity. I also offer 10% off all services for military & first responders.

I highly recommend HMJ Photography and Heidi for your wedding photography needs. Heidi was so kind and fun to work with. She communicated plans perfectly and I could tell she wanted to get the best shots of us on our day and for our engagement photos. We have a toddler and she worked hard to keep her interested in the photos.
